Melinda and I went to see spoon Saturday night at the Showbox, they were pretty cool. Everytime Melinda and I go see a show we leave saying 'We should go to more shows!', then a year goes by and we go see another show.
anyway...
the Showbox is a dive. They fixed it up but I think it's still a lousy place to see a rock show. All I've seen there have been rock shows although Whiskytown was a pretty rockin show if I remember right. Those days were kind of fuzzy. The sound sucked as usual but I suppose I go into the Showbox expecting that.
anyway...
Spoon put on a pretty good show and kept my attention considering I hadn't heard but one of their songs. They're are a 4 piece consisting of guitar/singer, bass/backup singer, drums/backup singer and keys/backup singer. Pretty damn tight and for the most part played like a 3 piece.
That's all I care to say about the matter.
